Before you come
What travellers usually ask me before a trek. Anything else? Just send me a message.
How do I pay?
In cash (Vietnamese dong), at the end of the trek, so bring enough cash with you on the trek. There's nothing to pay in advance and no deposit.
Is the trek private?
The set treks are shared: I put together everyone who books the same trek on the same day. If you're the only one booking, it's just you; if six people book, we walk as a group of six. The price per person stays the same. Want to be sure to walk only with your own group? Choose a custom private trek (it costs more).
What if I need to cancel, or the weather is bad?
Just send me a message: cancelling costs nothing. If the weather is bad, we talk about it together and find a solution: leaving later, taking another path, or moving to another day. As you only pay at the end, you don't risk anything.
Where do we meet? What about my big luggage?
We meet at Sapa Stone Church, in the centre of town (I don't pick up at hotels). On treks with a night at my homestay, my brother or my father takes your big luggage there, so you only walk with a small bag.
Am I fit enough? Can children come?
Everyone is welcome, children too: I adapt the pace to each group. Only the Fansipan trek is really demanding.
When is the best time to come?
Winter is cold but dry. Summer is the rainy season, but it rarely rains all day: more often in the evening, at night or in the morning, and a bit less down in the villages than up in Sa Pa town. Between the showers it's warm, and the views are at their best: the rice is growing and everything is green.
Can you help me get to Sa Pa?
Yes. Just ask me when you get in touch, and I'll do what I can to help you.
Plan your trek with me
Tell me about your group, your preferred dates, and which trek you're interested in.
I reply quickly, on WhatsApp or by email. Sending a request doesn't commit you to anything.
Thank you!
Your request has been sent. I'll get back to you soon, on WhatsApp at or by email.
